First-Blog-Post.

Let me tell you that I have absolutely no idea of a first-blog-post. But, here goes.

Have you ever wondered how many times a day you conform? How many times do you decide to do or not do because of  the  “acceptability” of it? In plain words, we often do what we do not like. AND there is a lot to not like presently- the orthodoxness, the hypocrisy, the education, the very unnerving and constantly hovering presence of “what will people say?” and the underlying principle of almost all our activities and decisions – ‘Practicality Precedes Passion’.

My upcoming posts will take you (hopefully) through the stark superficiality and non-sensicalness of so much of ‘our stuff’. The ‘hopefully’ was typed since most of my friends don’t understand many of my ideas because of the way I put it. So, I hope my thoughts come across clearly and in the manner I want them to, with zero misinterpretation. Did you get this, by the way?

This is going to be my all-time post-ender, the meaning of which, will be revealed soon. ( Guessing entertained ;) ):

  3. Pretty confident as far as first time blogs go. And a rather hotly discussed topic too. I like the fire burning inside of you. One that wants to turn all the prevalent schools of narrow thoughts to ashes. And at this rate, I can see it doing exactly that.
Keep up the good work and may you have loads of readers who appreciate your lovely writing.

  8. Agree with you kusha.we do so many things in life fearing what the 'PEOPLE'around us will feel or say...
These 'PEOPLE' influence us in the way we eat ,drink, talk, dress or live in the society. The most I hate are the grandiose marriages.grand just to show to people.

  11. @VishakhaChittake Agreed. Though I had never given the grand-marriage-issue a thought, now that you say it, it seems unnecessary.

  12. Kusha, you have a very clear idea of what you want. In long run, people will like you and respect you for the way you are, for what you are...not for what you pretend to be...!
You can not make everybody happy.
    So 'Be yourself'.

  13. Kusha, agree that sometimes we are under pressure to do things that we don't like just 'to fit in' the rules laid down by the society. Much more commonly, we don't do what we really like because of social pressures. Follow your heart, your dreams. If your conscience is saying it's the right thing to do, it doesn't matter what other people think about it. Agree with Darshana, be yourself, people will accept you for what you are.
    Wish you all the best.

  14. @Darshana,Sonal Yes indeed. Spending all the time mulling over petty issues such as what the people will think seems like a bad idea. But then we are all working on it right now- to not think of what people think. There is a long way to go before we can truly detach ourselves from this frustrating over-thinking. :)
